The Buffalo Grove Police Department welcomes new officer, Chadd Kaiser, to the ranks. Chadd comes to us from the Schiller Park Police Department, where he spent more than 6 six years. He was sworn in as a Buffalo Grove Police Officer on February 27, 2017 and begins his service immediately. Welcome, Chadd!

IRS Scams in full swing during Tax Season
With taxes being due one month from today (April 15), we would like to issue a reminder that the IRS will not initiate contact with taxpayers by email, text messages or social media to request personal or financial information. Do not provide any "IRS Agent" who calls you with: gift cards, green dot cards, credit card numbers, or bank account information. 2016 Top Five Crash Locations
The analysis of 2016 Traffic Crashes has been completed, and the top five crash locations have been identified as: Buffalo Grove and Lake Cook Rd., Lake Cook and Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights and McHenry Rd, Buffalo Grove and Aptakisic Rd (short), and Arlington Heights and Dundee Rd.  Click here for the full report. 

BGPD and Help USA Troops
Our agency is requesting assistance in gathering as many items for care packages for troops abroad as possible. Goodies such as: small toiletry items, individually wrapped snacks, gum, and candy can be dropped off at the station from now until the end of March. Click here for more information.

2014 Buffalo Grove Police Department's Citizen Survey Results
Chief Steven R. Casstevens is pleased to announce the results of the recently completed 2014 Citizen Survey.  The survey has been sent out since 1984 with the intent to gauge satisfaction of the police service in Buffalo Grove.
