Industrial Revenue Bonds

Industrial Revenue Bonds or Private Activity Bonds are tax-exempt bonds issued on behalf of businesses engaged in the manufacture or production of tangible personal property.

The Village of Buffalo Grove hosts a clearinghouse pool with other Lake County municipalities whereby this program is promoted and used on a regular basis.

Qualifying and Uses
A wide variety of businesses can qualify under these guidelines, including non-traditional manufacturing operations such as food processing or printing firms.

Industrial Revenue Bonds can be used to finance the acquisition of fixed assets such as land, buildings, or equipment. They may also be used for renovation and new construction.
