Heartsaver® CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills. It is a two-year certification and the cost is $50. This course is great for baby sitters, life guards, camp counselors, coaches, parents, or anyone one looking to become certified.
The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner. It is designed for the Healthcare Provider in a workplace setting. It covers basic CPR plus two person CPR, use of the AED, use of a Bag-Valve mask, and barrier precautions. This course is recommended for licensed health care worker.
On Site Courses can be scheduled through the Fire Department. Certified Instructors will perform the training at your place of business, church, or organization’s meeting. To schedule an On Site Course please contact the department at the phone number at the bottom of the page.
