The Village of Buffalo Grove is looking to develop a visioning plan for one of the Village’s key assets, Lake Cook Corridor. The Corridor expands over 472 acres and represents a gateway into the Village of Buffalo Grove. With more than 40,000 vehicles traveling on it per day, Lake Cook Road is one of the most utilized roads in the region.
The Lake Cook Corridor has over one million square feet of commercial space, which includes retail centers and office complexes. These developments represent an important source of revenue and vitality for the Village, however they may not be conducive to current and future market demands. The Corridor also includes 140 acres of land currently used as an 18-hole golf course and municipal campus, under the ownership and operation of the Village of Buffalo Grove.
The Village is seeking a consultant team to help establish a long-term vision by way of the Lake Cook Corridor Market Study and Plan. This project will assist Buffalo Grove in taking advantage of the Corridor’s strong visibility, mix of land uses, access to a strong demographic and purchasing power, and opportunities for redevelopment/development.
