Favorite Toys/Treats: Any type of ball (jolly ball in particular!), deer antlers, "Reward" tug toy, chicken jerky

Tricks: Hogyn learned to open car doors with just his nose!

Hogyn was sworn in to the Buffalo Grove Police Department on June 20, 2016 after successfully completing an eight-week K-9 Basic Training Academy. Training includes: obedience, narcotics detection, searching, fitness training and more. 

Officer Baron cares for Hogyn on a full time basis. Officer Baron ensures Hogyn is healthy by taking him to the vet regularly, exercising him (Hogyn can run on a treadmill, just like you!), feeding, bathing, and playing with him. The two are inseparable, which makes for a great working partnership. Officer Baron describes Hogyn as extremely hard working, funny and very sweet.
