BUFFALO GROVE ANNOUNCES 4TH OF JULY DRIVE SOBER OR GET PULLED OVER TRAFFIC CRACKDOWN RESULTS

Buffalo Grove Police made one drunk driving arrest during the July 4th traffic enforcement campaign.

In addition, 42 seat belt citations were issued, along with 17 for use of a cell phone while driving. Additionally, three other arrests were made which included a warrant arrest, and two for driving with a suspended license.

HONDA AND ACURA AIRBAG INFLATORS POSE HIGH-RISK PROBLEMS

The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) has released new test data showing airbag inflators from certain vehicles have a high risk of rupturing during airbag deployment.

The following 2001-2003 Honda and Acura vehicles have been identified as having up to a 50-percent chance of airbag inflators rupture in a crash. The airbags should be repaired immediately.
