The Buffalo Grove Police Department has announced results for its 2017 Super Bowl weekend Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket enforcement activity that ran from February 2 to February 6, 2017.
The Police Department reports that this campaign resulted in 17 seat belt violations, two uninsured motorists, and one, no valid driver’s license citations being issued.
“Motorists should continue to heed the warning that we are serious about cracking down on impaired drivers and seat belt law violators. We do it to save lives,” said Buffalo Grove Police Sergeant Anthony Goldstein.
The recent law enforcement crackdown was made possible by federal highway safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Safety Programs and Engineering, and is part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns.
