BUFFALO GROVE POLICE TO HOST ‘BOWL WITH A COP’ EVENT JUNE 6

Bowl with a Cop

The Buffalo Grove Police Department is pleased to announce it will be hosting its second annual ‘Bowl with a Cop’ event on June 6, 2018, beginning at noon until 2:00 p.m.

Area children are invited to Bowlero, 350 N McHenry Road in Buffalo Grove, for two hours of free bowling with Buffalo Grove police officers.

“When kids in the community are able to spend time with police officers in a fun, informal setting, it helps build a trusting relationship between them.” said Community Relations Officer Matthew Mills. “We want children to see that police officers are approachable and always willing to offer them help. Our hope is that this event will help children to be more willing to seek out an officer in the future if they need assistance, notice suspicious activity or witness a crime.”

Participants are encouraged to register with the Police Department by contacting Officer Mills at 847-459-2560 or via e-mail at mmills@vbg.org.

Jay Gordon, manager of the Buffalo Grove Bowlero, has generously agreed to provide as many lanes and shoe rentals as needed to ensure the event’s success. Bowlero will also be offering hotdogs and fountain drinks at a discounted rate of $1 each.
