MISSING BUFFALO GROVE RESIDENT FOUND DECEASED IN WAUCONDA FOREST PRESERVE

On Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 9:56 p.m., a Buffalo Grove resident contacted Buffalo Grove Police to report her 41-year-old husband had not returned home from work that day.

Mrs. Kimberly Carr, of the 1200 block of Larraway Drive in Buffalo Grove, reported that her husband, Paul Carr, had not answered his phone or text messages after he was expected home around noon on Saturday, and his vehicle was not at his place of work, Barrington Orthopedics in Buffalo Grove. A local police broadcast was sent by Buffalo Grove Police in an attempt to locate him. On September 23 at 10:00 a.m., Buffalo Grove Police once again spoke with Mrs. Carr who stated her husband had still not returned home. Mr. Carr was then entered into LEADS as a missing person, which also included a description of his vehicle.

On September 24 at approximately 8:51 a.m., Wauconda police investigated a call of a suspicious vehicle in the 2000 block of Rand Road in Wauconda. The vehicle was unoccupied and reportedly found to have blood inside. It was later determined the vehicle belonged to Mr. Carr. Further investigation by Wauconda police resulted in locating Mr. Carr deceased in the Wauconda Forest Preserve, near to where the vehicle was discovered.

While there was no active criminal investigation at the time Mr. Carr went missing, the Buffalo Grove Police department is currently investigating an allegation against Mr. Carr which reportedly occurred at his place of work. No details of that investigation are available at this time.
