State law prohibits the disposal of appliances and similar items such as stoves, ovens, washing machines, dryers, hot water heaters, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, humidifiers, water softeners, microwave ovens, trash compactors or dishwashers within landfills and as such, cannot be collected by Waste Management. Private haulers are available to collect such items. However we would recommend that if you are replacing items such as these and are offered disposal of your old item, please utilize that service.
