As part of the Village’s Capital Improvement Program, the 2010 Street Improvement Program targets specific streets within the Village for improvements. The program is part of larger overall plans which track the aging and wear of streets in neighborhoods throughout the Village. Further, it suggests a multi-year schedule for updates and improvements based on inspection and criteria - such as when and how the streets were originally constructed. In addition, and where appropriate, curb and storm sewer inlets are improved so as to improve drainage, which in and of itself, can extend the service life of a given street.
