Frequently Asked Questions
Any business located in the Village that servers and/or sells alcohol must possess a local and state liquor license.
- Class A allows for on-site consumption of alcoholic beverages by means of a bar.
- Class B allows for on-site consumption of alcoholic beverages by means of a service area (no bar).
- Class C allows for the retail sale of alcoholic beverages for off-site consumption.
- Class D allows for the retail sale of beer and wine for off-site consumption.
- Class D1 allows for the retail sale of beer and wine at gas stations for off-site consumption.
- Class E allows for the retail sale of beer and wine for on-site consumption by means of a service area (no bar).
- Class K allows for the retail sale of beer manufactured on-site or off-site by the same license holder, for consumption on and off the licensed premises.
- Several Class G Special Event liquor licenses are available, which are valid for one 24 hour period.
Prior to making an application for a local liquor license, the applicant must have a pre-application meeting with the Village President who is the designated Local Liquor Commissioner.
