Henry Hashemi MugshotThe Buffalo Grove Police Department recovered small amounts of illegal narcotics and a large sum of money after serving a search warrant on Thursday, February 13, 2020.

Henry Hashemi, 18, of Buffalo Grove was charged with two Class 4 felonies for the manufacturing and delivering of cannabis, as well as possessing a fraudulent Illinois driver’s license. In addition, he received a Class 2 felony charge for the possession of instruments and materials used in the production of cannabis products.

Police began their investigation into Hashemi’s home in the 1500 block of Anderson Lane in Buffalo Grove after numerous calls for service, anonymous complaints, and performing subsequent surveillance. A search warrant was obtained after evidence was presented to a Lake County judge.

Hashemi was the only person in the residence at the time the search warrant was served, and was taken into custody without incident. The Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office was contacted and approved the above charges against Hashemi. After being charged, he was transported to bond court in Lake County, where he received a $20,000 (D) bond. He must pay 10% of that bond in order to be released.

“Without the eyes and ears of our residents we would otherwise be unable to conduct these types of investigations,” stated Chief Steven Casstevens. “Once armed with information, our officers conducted a thorough investigation which ultimately results in a safer neighborhood for our community.”
