Buffalo Grove Fire Department Resumes Healthcare Provider CPR Classes

Due to the increasing number of individuals who have received the COVIID-19 vaccine, the Village and the Buffalo Grove Fire Department have made the decision to resume Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider CPR Classes (for healthcare providers only), effective May 6, 2021. Heartsaver classes are not yet resuming but are planned to begin again in the near future.

“After more than a year without these educational opportunities to provide this life-saving training, we are grateful to have come this far to be able to start them once again,” said Fire Chief Mike Baker. “We will need to follow new safety guidelines which means space is limited. I encourage interested healthcare providers to register as quickly as possible to reserve their spot.”

Class capacity will initially be limited to eight students per class and will be held twice per month at the Fire Department Headquarters, 1050 Highland Grove Drive in Buffalo Grove. All students must provide a copy of their COVID-19 vaccination record at registration, complete a pre-class screening upon arrival and wear a face cover during class.

Registration and class availability can be found on the Village of Buffalo Grove website, https://vbg.enrollware.com/dualcalendar.
