Buffalo Grove Police Announce Super Bowl Weekend Enforcement Results

The Buffalo Grove Police Department today announced they issued a total of 16 traffic citations during their recent Super Bowl enforcement campaign. Citations included seatbelt, speeding, distracted driving and other violations. The Super Bowl weekend Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket enforcement effort ran from Friday, February 11, through the early morning hours of Monday, February 14. The campaign’s goal was to keep impaired drivers off the roads and encourage more people to buckle up and follow all traffic safety laws. “Motorists should understand Buffalo Grove Police are serious about reducing the number of impaired drivers and other traffic safety violations. We do it to save lives,” said Sergeant Frank Horbus. The Super Bowl enforcement effort was made possible by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
