Nominations sought for Bill Reid Community Service Award

The Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove is pleased to announce that nominations are now being accepted for the 2023 Bill Reid Award. This prestigious award seeks to honor and recognize outstanding individuals in the community who have demonstrated a long-term commitment to enhancing the spirit and betterment of Buffalo Grove.

Bill Reid, the late Village Trustee affectionately known as “Mr. Buffalo Grove,” was not only a charter member of the Rotary Club but also a beacon of community service and dedication. In his memory, this award shines a light on the unsung heroes whose significant volunteer efforts have measurably impacted the community through substantial and continuous service.

Award details:

  • Nomination deadline: All nominations must be received by June 10, 2024.
  • Award ceremony: The recipient will be honored at a public ceremony, which will include the presentation of a recognition plaque and contributions of $250 to both the charity of the recipient’s choice and The Rotary Foundation in the recipient’s name. Additionally, the recipient’s name will be inscribed on the permanent award recognition plaque located in the lobby of Village Hall, located at 50 Raupp Boulevard in Buffalo Grove.
  • Event date: The award presentation will take place at an upcoming summer/fall Rotary Club luncheon or community event.
