Blood Drives

Donors are required to provide an ID, and the entire blood donation process takes about one hour. Please prepare for donations by eating well and staying hydrated.

Frequently Asked Questions
- An identification card is required for all donors such as:
- Driver’s license
- Passport
- Birth certificate with accompanying photo ID
- Employee or student ID with full name and photo
- Donor ID card or
- Military ID
- The actual blood donation takes about 10 – 15 minutes. The entire blood donation process, from registration to post-donation refreshments, takes about one hour.

- The Blood Drives are conducted by Vitalant and hosted by the Buffalo Grove Health Commission.
