Final Grass or Turf Restoration

Unfortunately these projects will complete at a time of year where the weather is not conducive to growing grass.  High heat and little rain can cause it to burn out and not succeed long term.  The Village has planned for this in the project and will have a temporary seed placed following the roadwork.  This seed will look sparse and may have weeds within it.  The contractor will return to mow their restoration efforts as needed.

In August 2019 the contractor will return to place final seed that will grow to match the existing parkways.  We expect this process to take all of the fall to complete and may require the contractor to revisit the area to water, weed or reseed multiple times.  The contractor will be responsible for the grass restoration for approximately 18 months after the roadway is complete.  The Village will monitor the area and require the contractor return as needed.  Thank you for your patience with this process.
