The 2018 Environmental Plan provides an overview of the Village’s on-going and proposed environmental initiatives serving the Village.
Along with over 100 other communities, the Village of Buffalo Grove has expressed its commitment to environmental sustainability by adopting the Greenest Region Compact in 2017. To implement this Compact, the Village is currently developing a Sustainability Plan based upon the Greenest Region Compact 2 (GRC2) framework that covers ten main elements: climate, economic development, energy, land, leadership, mobility, municipal operations, sustainability communities, waste and recycling, and water.
