The amount of tax is $3 per $1,000. Date of closing and forwarding address is required at time of purchase. Please be advised that stamps will not be issued if there are any delinquent charges for water service, outstanding fines or fees, or other debts owed to the village.
Certain transactions will be considered exempt and will be issued with no tax due to the Village. All debts owed the to the Village must be paid prior to the issuance of an exempt stamp. Examples of exempt transactions include:

- The grantor (seller) is a unit of government.
- The owner is re-titling the property from an individual(s) to a trust, or vice versa.
