Village adds first EV vehicle to its fleet
The Village added its first electric vehicle (EV) to its fleet－a new Ford F-150 Lightning! The electric pickup truck will be used by our forestry team for daily contract management, customer service, tree risk assessments, natural areas management as well as crew supervision.
The zero-emission truck will realize approximately $17,000 in savings on fuel, oil and oil filters over the course of 10 years! Use data and experience will help determine future opportunities for additional EVs in the Village’s fleet. This purchase truly helps create a more cost-effective (smart) and environmentally-friendly (with heart) fleet.
